Black Friday and a Freebie

So I got all my Black Friday shopping done last night online.  I love when I can buy things online and have them shipped to my house or to wherever I need them sent before Christmas.  It’s so easy and helpful.

I am a couple of weeks behind on my planner since I was traveling and getting my stuff unpacked and everything, so I still need to decorate my last two weeks of “fall” themes.  I love the rich jewel tones so I decided to do one last fall themed sticker sheet before I transition into a month of Christmas wonderland.

So without further ado…Autumn Day!

Finally Home: Sharing a Silhouette Studio Library Between Two Computers

So I finally got home and one of the first things I have to do is to import my Silhouette Studio library onto my actual computer.  So far everything is on my laptop (which might be the slowest thing ever), so I need to put them on my actual computer.  With all this said I needed to figure out how to do this.  I saw something about this earlier so I knew I could, but I didn’t exactly know how.  I was so excited when I found this great tutorial from Silhouette School.

So here’s the deets –

First go to File/Export Library from the main menu inside Silhouette Studio

Export the files to a external hard drive or something else.

Then, on your new computer, click on File/Import Library and choose your file from your external hard drive.

After that I had to sign into my silhouette store account and my library just started showing up.

YAY! Super Excited! I can start designing again and have lots more freebies for you.

Check out the Blog at Silhouette School if you need some pictures or more information.  I was just so excited that I needed to share with everyone.

Freebie Friday

I’ve been traveling all week, but I don’t want you to miss out of your freebie for the week so I made sure to schedule this post for you.  I’ll be sure to update everyone on my travels when I get home next week (and open all my mail from 6 months!).

This week’s post is entitled Blush.  It features papers from Jennifer Scraps and elements from PIxel Scrappers.  I haven’t been feeling girly colors lately, but I tried to pick a palette that at least had some pink in it for you.  I love that Elif Sahin’s Work Day round stickers fit perfectly into the color palette.  My favorite is “But First, Coffee” since I’m such an addict.

This is a short post so here’s the freebie.  Download is on the image.

A Little Personal

I have a few blogs so I wasn’t sure I was going to do this here, but It makes sense for me right now.  This is the blog I’m updating at the moment so it seems fitting for this part of my life.  Tomorrow I will be leaving Colorado and driving home.  I’ve been here for 6 months and I’ve honestly never been happier.  It’s been trying and a huge learning experience, but it’s all been worth it.

This year has been so full of new experiences and surprises.  I have completed an internship, graduated college, managed a yarn store, taught classes, consigned items for sale, and driven across the country.  I made new friends, lost 30lbs, and stretched the limits of everything I thought I was capable of.  My motto starting out the year was “I Can and I Will”….and well, I did.  Now I am going home to spend some time with my family and friends for the holidays.

I am going to miss Colorado.  The cool weather is so nice (as opposed to Atlanta), and the people are amazing.  But I have already promised to be back next year, and I’m being sent home with plenty of projects to keep me busy.

The main thing I’m worried about is the drive.  I was worried about the drive out here.  I get anxious, it’s what I do.  I’m planning on stopping right outside of Indianapolis to see a friend I’ve known forever but never officially met.  I know that will be a blast, but it’s still a little nerve-wracking.

Right now I’m doing laundry and packing.  My friend has been so nice to let me stay here for 6 months, so I don’t want to leave him with a mess.  Everytime I try to pack anything the tears come.  I really do love it here, but I miss my family.  I’ve missed a lot this year just because I’m here and not at home.  I need to get back and touch base with them before I go crazy.

Well I guess that’s my brain dump.  I know it’s personal, but it lets you see inside me a little.  I’m sad, excited, scared, anxious, and happy all at the same time.  Curse these emotions!

Home, I’ll see you before the week is out, and Colorado; I’ll see you next year.

Traveling Next Week & Freebie

I will be leaving Colorado on Monday and heading back to Atlanta.  I’ve been in Colorado for almost 6 months now and I’m sad to be leaving, but I’m excited to get home to Atlanta.  When I came out here I was in a transition in my life, but now I am feeling much more confident and happy with where I am.

I have decided to stop off and see a friend in Indianapolis before I venture home since it’s only about 2 hours out of my way.  That means I might not be home before the end of the week, but don’t worry I’ve already got next week’s freebie lined up and ready to go.

This week’s freebie is entitled Global and features designs from both Pixel Scrapper and Jennifer Scraps.  I absolutely LOVE this palette!

On another note, I have now organized my stickers.  They were all in one big pile (not ideal), but I saw an idea to put them in the $1 4×6 photo “brag” books.  I love it!  I have one for designs (flowers, hearts, stars, animals, etc.), one for word art, and one for boxes and tabs.  I bought 2 more to put my own designs in when I get home and can print them out.  All i have to do is cut them down to a 4×6 size and they fit perfectly.  I can see what’s on every page.  I have heard there are larger ones on Amazon but they are more expensive so I just went with the small ones.

Well, without further ado, here’s the Freebie.  Download is on the image.

December Pixel Scrapper Blog Train Dec 2015 Preview

This week I’ve been working on the December Blog Train for Pixel Scrapper.  I decided to go with a baking theme for at least part of it.  Some of my fondest memories from childhood are of making Christmas cookies with my mom and brother.  I know I got a jump-start on this, but I will be traveling next week and then Thanksgiving so I needed to.

Here’s this month’s colorway:

Ready for a Freebie?

Hey everyone, It’s Friday again and that means it’s time for another freebie.  I love making these for you and I hope you enjoy them as well.  This week I went with a green colorway with a woodsy feel.

I have a Plum Paper Planner so I use the same size as the Erin Condren vertical planner, but I’ve been looking into making some stickers for the horizontal planner as well.  Just let me know if you would like  some freebies and I’ll be happy to post some.  Just click on the preview to download.
